Moving Dramas

So we are moving out and you need to give 21 days notice. We gave 23 or something.

Anyway, we have the real estate agent wanting to show people our place, but it is in slight disarray, you know with all the PACKING and what not we have to do to move.

We found on the fair trading site that access to the property only has to be in the last 14 days of the lease, which isn’t until Thursday. The agent wants to show it sooner than that. I mentioned the 14 day thing to her on the phone and she is like “I’m *not happy* with that”.

So that kinda pissed me off, so I sent her an email with the link to the site - the email was polite and not rude in any form, all it said was here is a link to what I was taking about. In reply, she sent me this really snarky, and frankly quite rude message. I’m sure you can pick out my comments from here:

Your landlord has not increased the rent for 3 years - What does this have to do with the price of eggs? , the least you can do is pay the courtesy of assisting when it comes to reletting the property. The rules don’t matter when it comes to this type of relationship. Umm, the law is the law? The property is not in a state to be viewed yet. You  may also require a reference for future rental - your attitude does not assist you. So I am being threatened now? And I honestly don’t think I have been rude to the agent at all, it just hasn’t been convenient for people to come view the property. Last week you requested no open house for sat which we agreed. You know the required notice period when you move out is more than 2 weeks, so potentially the landlord has lost 1 weeks rent. We gave over 3 weeks notice… Anyway in life you path your own way. Again, what does that have to do with anything? This last sentence is very rude, why does she even have to say that to me?

Seriously, if someone came to view the property now, they wouldn’t want to rent it. I certainly wouldn’t. I am honestly appalled at the reply I received from her, I haven’t said or written anything rude to her at all. She is just annoyed she can’t show people the house RIGHT THIS SECOND. From the way she talks she has many people interested so surely there will be someone who will gladly rent the property.

I am already stressed to the max and seriously this email pushed me over the edge for today and I ended up bawling my eyes out from all the stress. If I reply to her message it would probably be along the lines of “fuck you bitch” but I have passed it onto N to deal with because I really don’t want to deal with her any longer.
