Want a cheap spare bed idea?

So we managed to get a futon “sofa bed” from Fantasy Futon - let me just say how pretty awesome they are. We found them doing a google search on our iPhones, so we drove down to Newtown to check them out.

Their prices were totally reasonable - it cost us $539 for a queen “Siesta” sofa bed package, so basically it converts from a couch to a bed, a total space saver. The package came with a 6” thick mattress, but when we went to pick it up at the warehouse, they only had a 8” one available, so we got a free upgrade! Pretty sure it was about $50 difference for the next size thickness in the mattress too. Hooray for excellent customer service.

Considering a decent bed frame/mattress would cost closer to $1000, a futon is a great alternative, especially if it’s just for guests to sleep on for a few nights.
