  7. It’s only been 9 mths together but it’s been the happiest so far.. & in a few days it will be 9 mths till we tie the knot.. Can’t wait!!

  15. 2011 - what a year it’s been!

    Time for the annual blog post of the year! This year has sped by. So much has happened, life changing stuff for sure.

    January… Started the year off with many (dud) dates and even a stalker. 

    February… Met the man who is now the love of my life. Didn’t know that at the time though. I was sick of internet dating by this stage though, so was just having fun with N and slowly falling for him… Moved out of my rental as the owners offered us $6000 to move out before the lease was up. Decided this to be the catalyst to buy a house with my sister. 

    March… Things ended with N. A bit bitter with men this month. Found a house to buy!

    April… Beginning of the month not much happened. Was going on with life, beginning to think of doing more dating. Then random contact with N again and we decided to give it another go. A few days later had settlement of my house and moved in after Easter.

    May… Started off taking things slow with N. Was quite cautious at first. Went down to his parent’s house and met them for the first time. 

    June… met his daughter for the first time. Not much else memorable happened (as I don’t remember anything!)

    July… Same for this month, nothing significant or memorable that I can come up with.

    August… N proposed! This certainly came as quite a shock. We had talked about “the future” and he had even said he wanted me to be the mother of his children one day but I certainly didn’t expect a proposal so soon. Also started getting sicker, coughing and breathing problems. Doctor couldn’t diagnose it.

    September… So started to be consumed by all things wedding!

    October… More and more wedding planning. Sickness getting worse and having more problems breathing.

    November… I turned the big 3-0. Went on a trip down to Margaret River and stayed in an awesome place called Losari Retreat.  Unfortunately by the end of the trip I was really struggling - coughing fits galore and wheezing so bad. New doctor and allergist diagnose me with asthma and put me on meds which improve things dramatically. Got to attend two different training courses for work. 

    December… Health wise things get a little worse with breathing. Change of meds and things kind of improve. My wedding planning goal of booking all the service vendors is achieved! Spend Christmas day on the beach and having dinner with my parents. Boxing day head to N’s parents place. Get to go camping at a fairly isolated beach. Lots of fishing. Spend the New Year here. 

    So that’s my year in a nutshell. Looking back at my previous years entries, I must admit my life was pretty boring, in the very least lacking something. This year so many things have happened to me, pretty life changing stuff!

    Last year I hoped to meet ‘someone special’ which I did - even though we met in a unconventional way. I also wanted to get more fitter and healthier. I’ll admit I didn’t do too well on this one. The latter months of the year my fitness regime fell on the back burner due to be constantly sick, hopefully things will get better in the next year.

    So what do I wish to achieve in 2012? I hope I don’t become a bridezilla! That my wedding can be what I dream it to be and much more. I am so looking forward to becoming a Mrs. Also my health and fitness are a top priority. Apart from that, hopefully after the wedding we can focus on starting a family, another thing I am extremely excited about.

    Bring on 2012 I say, 2011 has to have been the best year of my life so far, and I really think 2012 can top it! :)

    Saw a florist yesterday. Won’t get much change out of a grand for all the flowers I need. Eep!!
